“Horizon Zero Dawn meets Astro Boy!”

Super fighting monster hunter!

Out the way, Street Fighter. Take a hike, Ghouls and Ghosts. Step off, Devil May Cry. Eat dirt, Captain Commando. Hit the road, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. The Blue Bomber is back and he’s dropped into Monster Hunter: World (not Horizon Zero Dawn) for some awesome retro crossover action!

Here are some of the details:

A Rush of Blood
This event quest forces you to fight a teeny tiny and a regular-sized Odogaron back to back in the arena for tickets to purchase the Mega Man palico costume (you need 3 and each quest gives you 1 or 2, as Odogaron parts). It’s an Odogaron fight because that monster resembles Mega Man’s crimson canine sidekick, Rush.

Palico Man
Felyne gear to dress your palico as the 8-bit Blue Bomber, in 3D! When healing, it sounds like Mega Man’s life recovery after using an E-Tank. When walking, he makes those little ‘blip, blip, blip, blip’ stepping sounds. When leaving for a quest, your palico makes Mega Man’s teleportation sound.

Music
The best part of this entire crossover is the music. Of course, it’s Rockman, it’s gotta be the music. Depending on the weapon class your using, a different song from Mega Man’s rockin’ past will play during the A Rush of Blood quest. When starting the quest, the boss selected theme from each game plays. Unfortunately, these great tracks only resound during that quest, and not in the rest of the game. Missed opportunity.

We had to hear every song and I couldn’t find a list of them anywhere, so here they are. For everlasting peace!
